Students who paused their post-secondary studies can apply for funding to complete their degree or certification at no cost at Lancaster Bible College and five other schools in the region The five other schools are Community College of Philadelphia, Bucks County Community College, Delaware Valley University, Holy Family University and Pennco Technical Schools. About $1.3 million in grant funding available through the Bucks County Department of Workforce and Development, which received the funding from the state Department of Labor and Industry Near Completer Grant program. Applications are being accepted now through June 30. To qualify for the grant funding, students must have exited their degree or certification program with at least a 2.0 grade point average after June 1, 2021. They must enroll in a program that will be completed prior to June 30, 2024 with the intent of becoming employed within 12 months of program completion if not yet employed. Benefits of the grant include mentorship, tutorial services, technology resources, free books and education supplies, guidance from a career services specialist and resources to assist with job placement. Additionally, partnering schools may provide support services like childcare, transportation or internet access reimbursement. Applications are available online at BucksCounty.gov/AimAndAttain .
