As crypto traders monitor a major debate between the two main US Presidential nominees Donald Trump and Kamala Harris having made solid gains so far this week, traders looking for top crypto gainers today in the DEX markets are turning to tools such as DEXScreener.

Bitcoin (BTC) was last trading just under $58,000, up just over 5% this week, with other major cryptos posting similar gains.

While the US Presidential debate will be the main focus on Tuesday night, focus quickly shifts to US inflation data on Wednesday.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) report is expected to support the case for multiple interest rate cuts from the Fed in the coming quarters.

If pro-crypto US Presidential candidate Trump is deemed as having won the debate and inflation data plays ball, this could be a good combination for a continued recovery in major crypto prices this week.

But impatient traders looking for even faster gains will continue to head to the highly illiquid and volatile DEX markets.

Here are some top crypto gainers today that they will be watching, according to DEXScreener.

Top Crypto Gainers Today – Which Are They?

A Solana-based GameFi token called GNOME MINING GAME (GNME) is one of the top crypto gainers today, up over 200% in 24 hours per DEXScreener.

The GameFi coin last had a market cap of around $3.8 million, with around $150,000 in locked liquidity.

GNME looks like a pretty solid token. But its low liquidity means that if a whale wants to cash out, the price could suffer a huge crash.

Also, there is no guarantee that the token isn’t a pump-and-dump or rug-pull scheme.

Traders must remember to do their own due diligence and never risk more than they can afford.

Elsewhere, two other top crypto gainers today are Wukong (WUKONG) and Cate (CATE).

These two tokens, both based on the Ethereum blockchain, are up over 100% and 50% in the past 24 hours respectively.

WUKONG, an Elon Musk-inspired meme coin, last had a market cap of $1.5 million and no clear utility or value proposition.

Crypto tokens like these usually have a very short life and do not retain long-term value.

CATE, meanwhile, last had a market cap of around $12 million and has already amassed 2,500 holders.

Those are decent numbers. But CATE also has no clear value proposition, and will thus also likely experience a short life.

A better option for those looking for traders hunting big gains could be crypto presales or ICOs.

ICOs allow investors to get in early on high-potential crypto projects and at low valuations.

ICOs carry their own set of risks, and investors must still conduct their own research.
