The Department of Government Efficiency token has also emerged as one of the strongest performers, recording a massive 732.73% increase in the past day.

In September, Trump pledged to create a “government efficiency” commission headed by entrepreneur Elon Musk if he becomes victorious in seeking re-election this November.

Dark MAGA (DMAGA) is another Trump-linked token that has seen significant growth, gaining 150.09% over the same period.

Furthermore, MAGA AGAIN (MAGAA) maintains positive momentum with a 36.27% increase in the last 24 hours, while BABYTRUMP (BABYTRUMP) has gained nearly 80% over the past day.

In stark contrast, Harris-themed tokens have experienced considerable losses over the past day.

The Kamala Harris token (KAMA) has plummeted by 81.11% in 24 hours, while other variants of Harris-themed tokens show similar downward trends.

The MAWA token, another Harris-associated cryptocurrency, has recorded a significant 24-hour decline of 75.60%, and Harris-themed tokens listed on kamaharris.fun and kamalaharriscoin.com have dropped by 71.62% and 66.04% respectively.

Meanwhile, more than 40 tokens referencing Trump were issued on the Ethereum blockchain in the past 24 hours alone, and more than 1,000 were created on Solana.

The GMCI Meme Index, tracking top memecoins by market cap, has risen 7.1%, reaching 280.28, marking a 187% increase so far this year.

In the top 20 cryptocurrencies by market cap, Dogecoin (DOGE) leads with a 25% increase over the past 24 hours.

Trump Takes the Lead in 2024 Election

Donald Trump has taken the lead in the 2024 election, clinching North Carolina’s 16 electoral votes on Tuesday night.

The win brings Trump’s electoral count to 230, compared to 187 for Vice President Harris.

Trump is also leading in key battleground states.

By 11 p.m., he held narrow leads in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, Arizona, and North Carolina, with varying percentages of votes counted in each state.

Although Trump currently leads in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, where 67% and 59% of votes were counted, Harris has slight leads in Michigan and Arizona, where around 20% and 48% of votes have been tallied.

Voting in Nevada, the final swing state to close its polls at 10 p.m. EST, remains ongoing.

Meanwhile, in bad news for the crypto community, democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren secured re-election to the U.S. Senate, defeating her Republican opponent, pro-cryptocurrency attorney John Deaton.

Warren has been a vocal critic of the cryptocurrency industry. In contrast, Deaton has been more favorable toward the industry.

Prominent individuals in the crypto industry, including Anthony Scaramucci, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, and Ripple’s executive chair Chris Larsen, financially supported Deaton’s bid for office.
