Web3 domain name provider and digital identity platform Unstoppable Domains has announced its partnership with the popular NFT and gaming project Deadfellaz.

It has also just become the largest ICANN-accredited registrar in Web3.

.dfz Domain Goes Live

Unstoppable has joined hands with Deadfellaz to launch the .dfz Web3 domain.

This domain, as other Unstoppable-issued addresses, will be available as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) minted on Polygon. Users fully own and control them.

Per the press release shared with Cryptonews, the new Top-Level Domain (TLD) enables users to send and receive cryptocurrencies and NFTs using human-readable addresses across multiple blockchains, including Ethereum and Polygon.

Furthermore, the.dfz domain owners will gain access to exclusive features and community engagement opportunities, as well as automatic support across over 865 integrated applications, wallets, and games, the announcement said.

Users can also create a digital identity by building and managing their online reputations through UD.me profiles.

The collaboration will help increase user accessibility for Deadfellaz NFT holders among blockchain communities and games, the teams said.

Betty, CEO and Co-Founder of DFZ LABS, the team behind Deadfellaz, commented that the .dfz domains “will allow our ‘Horde’ to express themselves in the digital realm like never before, and they will be able to incorporate their Deadfellaz identity across platforms and applications.”

Unstoppable Domains Gains ICANN Accreditation

On August 14, Unstoppable Domains announced that it has been officially accredited by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).

This has made the company the largest ICANN-accredited registrar in Web3, according to the press release.

Now, it will move to expand its domain and tokenization offerings beyond Web3 and ‘.com’ to include “the vast majority” of generic top-level domains (gTLDs) and country code domains (ccTLDs).

Unstoppable said it would offer a suite of Web3 products and services, an onchain domain marketplace for Web3 and tokenized traditional domains, a specialized wallet for registrars to manage tokenized domains, and support for Web3 companies in launching ICANN gTLDs.

“The ultimate goal of bringing domains onchain is to allow users, brands, and companies to take the best from both worlds and fully leverage the power of Web3 within the traditional Internet space,” the team stated.

Similarly, the company CEO and Founder Matt Gould remarked that the team aims to “create a bridge between the latest Web3 innovations and conventional Internet infrastructure that can benefit the digital space as a whole.”

Unstoppable has so far supported 19 Web3 companies, including Blockchain.com, in strategizing and preparing for the upcoming ICANN gTLD application round in 2026.

If successful, the .dfz domain will join the ranks of iconic ICANN-registered generic top-level domains like .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, and more.

As a reminder, the company offers the ability to tokenize domains, turning them into dynamic and tradable assets that can be bought and sold.

Users can utilize these domains for crypto transactions, linked to decentralized websites, and connected to social media profiles or business operations, creating cross-platform identities, the team said.
