Tesco is set to give millions of customers a coupon for a free bag of crisps on Thursday (July 30). The supermarket, which operates around 4,250 locations across the UK, has brought back its popular “Freebie Thursdays” giveaway.
The promotion has now returned, with five million coupons available for shoppers to claim. Each coupon can be redeemed for a free 150g bag of Tesco Finest crisps. Tesco said customers can choose from 16 different flavours when redeeming their coupon at their local store.
Shoppers are advised to check their Tesco app on Thursday to see if they have won a digital coupon. If it shows in the app, they have until midnight on the evening of Wednesday, August 5 to scan it at the checkout in store and claim the free bag.
The winning customers have been selected to receive a coupon based on their previous shopping habits. The offer is available exclusively to Tesco Clubcard members.
“Freebie Thursdays” began as a six-week promotion, running from June 11 until July 22, offering selected Clubcard members digital coupons for free products. The original promotion gave away a range of items, including Tesco stonebaked pizzas and bottles of Diet Coke.
Due to its popularity, Tesco confirmed it would now return today with customers given the chance to win a free bag of crisps. A range of flavours are available, including sea salted, prawn cocktail, and salt and vinegar.

If you find a coupon in your Tesco app then the product is entirely free – you just need to claim it at the checkout in your local Tesco store.
