EuroMillions launch search for missing winner as £177,000 goes unclaimed – 7 days left

The National Lottery is hunting for a missing EuroMillions winner entitled to a huge £177,000 prize. There is just one week left to claim the prize, with the six-month deadline running out at midnight on Wednesday, July 15.

The winning ticket was purchased in the Watford area for the January 16 draw, which was code number 1912. With the winning numbers 5, 17, 24, 29, 50 and Lucky Stars 5, 10, the ticket holder is able to claim a Match 5+1 Star prize level and take home £177,547.30. If they fail to claim the prize, the money and all interest will go towards National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, stressed: “Time is now running out for this mystery winner.”

He added: “In just one week, the deadline to claim this £177,547.30 EuroMillions prize will expire, so we’re asking everyone who may have bought a ticket in the area to make one last thorough check.

“We’ve searched for more than five months, but there is still time for this lucky ticket-holder to come forward.

“Check that kitchen drawer, your wallet, the glovebox of the car, the pockets of old coats and bags – anywhere a ticket could have been tucked away and forgotten.

“With only days remaining, we’d also ask people to spread the word. Talk to friends, family, neighbours and colleagues who may have played EuroMillions back in January.

“Our priority is making sure this prize reaches its rightful owner before the deadline passes and this incredible opportunity is lost forever.”

Prizes of this size must be claimed in person during the claim period. If you have the lucky ticket, you must call the National Lottery on 0333 234 44 33 so your win can be registered and they can arrange a date and time for you to claim your prize.
