Morrisons has launched a new freebie rule across its cafes to celebrate the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. From Thursday, June 11 to Sunday, June 28, people visiting any Morrisons Café in their national team shirt can claim a free hot drink (including tea, americano, latté and cappuccino), or a chilled dispensed fizzy drink.
The grocery chain, which has some 348 Morrisons Cafes within its larger supermarkets across the country, says the offer is available all day, every day over the eligibility period, with fans able to enjoy a complimentary drink whenever they visit. Morrisons Cafes are also laying on a limited-edition Match Day Menu until July 19 as football fever sweeps the nation. Products in the range include Morri Match Day Burger (£12), which the chain says is “piled high with two quarter-pounder burgers, two slices of cheese, bacon and hash browns, served with chips and The Best Coleslaw for a feast worthy of extra time”.
You can also pick up The ‘Loaded Hot Dog’ (£6.50), bringing “big flavour with a jumbo hot dog loaded with onion rings, nacho cheese sauce and crispy onions”.
Morrisons Cafés open at 8am Monday to Saturday, with shorter hours on Sundays (typically 10am – 4pm).
Will Reed, senior buying manager at Morrisons, said: “The summer of football is one of the biggest sporting moments in the calendar and brings people together through a shared love of the game.
“We wanted to give supporters a fun way to celebrate the tournament, so we’re delighted to be offering a free drink to customers who visit our cafés wearing their nation’s football shirt.
“Alongside our new Match Day Menu, we hope the free drink offer gives fans another reason to get involved and show their support this summer.”
The free drink offer will run from 11 June to 28 June in Morrisons Cafés nationwide.
Terms and conditions include:
- Offer excludes Mocha and Hot Chocolate
- Maximum of one drink redemption per customer per day
- Valid for dine-in customers only
- Cannot be used in conjunction with any other drink offer
- Customers must be wearing apparel representing a nation participating in the 2026 World Cup

It comes ahead of England’s of this year’s World Cup, which is being jointly hosted by Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
The Three Lions will take on Croatia in their opening Group L game on Wednesday, June 17. Thomas Tuchel’s men will then face Ghana on June 23 and Panama on June 27, hoping to qualify for the round of 32, which will take place in late June and July.
The final will be held on July 19 at the New York New Jersey Stadium in the US.
